Bed & Breakfast vs. Hotel |
Many people come to our bed and breakfast, having
never been to one before, with an expectation of it functioning
as a hotel. Here are some of the differences between a B & B and a
hotel:
-
We don't have 24 hour service!! There's only us
and we sleep at night too.
-
We're generally quieter than a hotel.
-
Guests enjoy and interact with other
guests from all over the world over a lovely homemade breakfast
-
Most hotels have a 24 hour cancellation policy;
most B & B's have a 14 - 21 day cancellation policy. What this means
to you, is a last minute cancellation due to ...well, anything...
leaves you with paying for a room you will not be sleeping in. An
early departure is also considered a cancellation. Therefore we
suggest Travelers Insurance (see info below).
|
- We take you to your room and make sure you
know where everything is located...unless you come after 10:00 pm...and
then you will find a very convenient note on the door with great
directions to your room.
- There is always a "host" on sight, that is
ready, eager and willing to help you, answer questions or inform you of
area events. (Refer to #1 suggestion though!)
- Our B & B feels like a home away from
home...without having to clean up!
- We serve a full sit-down breakfast and
offer alternative breakfasts to go.

Travelers Insurance |
Most people don't think about getting insurance for their travels, maybe
believing either their own medical insurance may cover them, or their
auto insurance. This is not always the case when you are traveling
out of your state or country. Thus we highly suggest you acquire
insurance for those unexpected cancellations that you will be
responsible for. Here is a link for a great site that has several
options you can choose for your specific travel needs.
